Springtime in the Boulder Mountains
Drive a few miles north of Ketchum and you will see the southern section of the spectacular Boulder Mountains. The Boulders are part of the Rocky Mountains in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area and partially within the Hemingway–Boulders Wilderness. In the summer we love hiking the many trails where some of the highest peaks are located. The front of the Boulder Mountains are clearly visible from State Highway 75, the Sawtooth Scenic Byway. Did you know that a portion of the 1985 movie Pale Rider, starring local home owner Clint Eastwood, was filmed in the Boulder Mountains? Watch the movie then head out to the Boulders and enjoy the scenery yourself!
